The rate follows the rice type eaten; one Baghdad gantang equals 2.6 kg of rice. 1447H rates: RM 8.00, RM 16.00 and RM 25.00 a person. The 1448H rates are not yet announced.
Timing: sunat throughout Ramadan; wajib from sunset on the last day of Ramadan until sunrise on 1 Syawal; afdhal before the Eid prayer; makruh after the Eid prayer until sunset on 1 Syawal; haram after sunset on 1 Syawal.
